The Faculty of Chemical Engineering at UiTM Pulau Pinang was incepted in June 2005, two years after the full establishment of Faculty of Chemical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam. The establishment of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at UiTM Pulau Pinang completes the long-term UiTM’s strategic planning to have the biggest engineering campus offering all engineering disciplines. Even though it only started as a department under the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering when the programme of Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Chemical was first introduced in June 2000, chemical engineering has long existed in UiTM since 1972 through the Industrial Chemistry Programme, which was offered under the Faculty of Applied Sciences. In the latest development, FKK has changed its name to Pusat Pengajian Kejuruteraan Kimia following the merger of all engineering faculties under College of Engineering. Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Environment) with Honours (CEEH225), is a 4-year programme and is aimed to produce chemical engineering graduates suitable to work in various chemical and/ or environmental industries. The academic programme offered has been developed in line with the science and technology developments as well as the current industrial needs to provide the highest level of chemical engineering courses related to environment. The outcome based education approach emphasizes on the generic skills which students shall acquire upon completion of their studies. The programme is fully accredited by Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) and Malaysian Quality Agency (MQA). |

Mission of FKKPP To impart knowledge to students by offering comprehensive engineering programmes in chemical and its associate field through effective teaching and training in line with global technological advancement. The above aspirations are manifested in our Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs):

Thus, our programme is designed to develop students' attributes which are measured by Programme Outcomes (POs); i.e. statements that describe what students are expected to know and be able to perform or attain by the time of graduation. These relate to the knowledge, technical competencies and personal traits which are embedded in the curriculum of which students would acquire throughout the programme. Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Environment) with honours (EH225) consists of twelve (12) POs as follows:

PO3 | Ability to design component, system and process for complex chemical and environmental engineering problems with an appropriate consideration on health, safety, society and environment. |
PO4 | Ability to conduct complex chemical and environmental investigation using research-based knowledge and method including design of experiment, analysis and interpretation of data to provide valid conclusion. |
PO5 | Ability to utilize modern science, engineering or IT tools and systems to solve complex chemical and environmental engineering problems. |
PO6 | Ability to assess safety, health, legal and cultural issues in engineering scenarios that affect society. |
PO7 | Ability to demonstrate professional engineering solution in societal and environmental contexts for sustainable development. |
PO8 | Ability to recognize the ethical principles and apply the professional conducts in engineering practice. |
PO9 | Ability to communicate effectively not only with engineers but also with the community at large. |

IJAZAH SARJANA MUDA KEJURUTERAAN KIMIA (PERSEKITARAN) DENGAN KEPUJIAN(CEEH225)

Kursus ini ditawarkan di UiTM Cawangan Pulau Pinang sejak tahun 2014. Tempoh pengajian adalah empat (4) tahun serta memenuhi keperluan yang ditetap Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi (KPT) dan Majlis Akreditasi Kejuruteraan (EAC). Kursus terdiri daripada 135 jam kredit hours. Graduan kursus isi boleh mendaftar di Lembaga Jurutera Malaysia (BEM) sebagai 'Graduate Engineer' dalam bidang Kejuruteraan Kimia.
Prospek kerjaya
Prospek kerjaya yang luas dalam sektor kerajaan dan swasta. Graduan boleh menjawat jawatan sebagai jurutera kimia atau jurutera kimia persekitaran yang terlibat dalam operasi kilang industri dan penghasila produk industri. Selain itu, graduan boleh bekerja dalam sektor petrokimia, rekabentuk proses, perkhidmatan perundingan atau ahli akademik.
KURIKULUM
Kurikulum direka untuk menyediakan kemahiran tenaga kerja yang menyeluruh. Ini termasuk kursus-kursus kejuruteraan asas seperti kinetik kimia, termodinamik, fenomena pengangkutan serta kurusus-kursus khusus teknologi persekitaran. Kurikulum turut menitikberatkan elemen kelestarian (sustainability).
SYARAT KEMASUKAN:
Terbuka kepada Bumiputera yang memenuhi syarat.
SYARAT AM:
Lulus SPM/sijil setaraf yang diiktiraf Kerajaan Malaysia
- Kredit dalam Bahasa Melayu di peringkat SPM level/setaraf
- Minimum Band 2 dalam MUET
- Tidak buta warna atau keterbatasan fizikal yang boleh menghalang aktiviti eksperimen dan praktikal
Lepasan Diploma UiTM:
- Minimum CGPA 2.5 bagi lepasan Diploma Kejuruteraan Kimia
- Minimum CGPA 2.75 bagi lepasan Diploma Kimia Industri/Diploma Sains/Diploma Farmasi/Diploma Teknologi Polimer/Diploma Teknologi Makanan/Diploma Kesihatan Persekitaran/Diploma Kejuruteraan/Diploma Industri Higien & Persekitaran
- Minimum CGPA 3.0 bagi lepasan Diploma Kejuruteraan
- Minimum CGPA 2.75
- Matematik/Matematik Kejuruteraan
- Fizik/Fizik Kejuruteraan/Biologi
- Kimia/Kimia Kejuruteraan
Lepasan STPM/setaraf:
- Minimum CGPA 2.75
- Gred B (2.67) dalam dua (2) mata pelajaran dan gred C (2.00) dalam satu (1) mata pelajaran dari mana-mana mata pelajaran berikut:
